scholarshipprogramflyer 2019 print

The Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business and Professionaisl (FPCBP) is a non-profit organization focused on promoting a number of business initiatives and the academic achievement of Portuguese Canadian youth.

For the past 37 years, the Federation has had the pleasure of distributing Secondary and Post-Secondary Scholarships, making us the oldest and most prestigious scholarship program in the Portuguese community across Canada, translating to over $1.2 Million Dollars donated by generous sponsors.

The Federation is pleased to advise that we will be once again awarding deserving candidates a scholarship in amounts between $1,500 and $2,500 and additional scholarships to study abroad at the NOVA School of Business and Economics, Carcavelos Campus - Lisbon and the University of the Azores, São Miguel or Terceira Campuses.

We are asking that you promote our scholarships by:

  • announcing it to your academic body,
  • placing notices of the Scholarship in places of high profile,
  • specifically advising students of Portuguese descent of its availability.

As an institution committed to the accessibility of education, you are well aware of the financial barriers that can stand in the way of academic pursuit.  As such, we hope we can count on your assistance.

Students may apply directly online at: https://www.fpcbp.com/scholarship-application, by January 18th, 5:00pm deadline. (official transcripts must be mailed no later than January 24th, 5:00pm)

The scholarships will be awarded at our annual Academic Excellence Awards Gala dinner at Pearson Convention Centre on Saturday, March 23rd, 2019.

Please direct any further inquiries to our office. You may reach us by phone at (416) 537-8874 or by e-mail at scholarships@fpcbp.com.
